Religion being used

Myanmar unable seems unable to differianiate between way of liberating from polictical situation and religion situations; Buddhism is being used to soother the effects of political things, so most people turn into personal religious beliefs instead of practical ways for better life of the country

Bago Floods (III)

These satellite pictures of 1990, 2000 and 2005 shows land use changes and degradation of forest cover clearly. What need to do? A sustainable development program, and good governance? How to implement, not by words, but by deeds.

Bago Floods 2007 (II)

This is an old problem gradually worsened by forest degradation on the Bago Yoma, and also land use changes. See the white mark on the tele post to image the level of floods.

Bago Floods 2007

During Rainy Season of 2007 I traveled from Nay Pyi Taw to Yangon by train, and had to spent the night at ShweHlay Chaung for flash flood. Left photo show the flood plain at the dry season (January 2008)

Top photos show seriousness of situation; Myanmar railways has to brave these conditions year by year.

middle photos shows how the people have to cope in their dail life.

Lets discuss the causes and impacts later.

My Best Models

This is taken in 2007 March, at Phimaw, Kachin-China border. This old lady is really happy. She is about to get a contribution of a bag full of rice. I wish I can smile like that.

The photo is taken during 2004 in Wa Special region 2. I don't remember the place. A market day and all people are enjoying especially this old lady. Are these evil people, sirs?

Dams and Environmet

This is a photograph of Zaung Tu Dam. he original forest has been degraded to this kind. Dams do not destroy environment normally. But if you cannot control human activities around dams, a lot of environmental degradation step in.
